About Custom Fitness

Our personal training studio is conveniently located in beautiful downtown Fort Myers. We offer top-of-the-line strength and cardiovascular equipment as well as many functional training aids such as physioballs, balance boards, TRX suspension trainers and kettlebells. Also we specialize in the amazing POWER PLATE! You can expect to increase strength and endurance; decrease body fat and pain; and improve balance, posture and sports performance. All of this in a private setting, and with trainers who have extensive education in exercise science.

How To Get Started

Our introductory package for first timers includes three 30 minute personal training sessions and a 30 minute consultation with a nutritionist. Together we will properly assess you and then create the foundation for your health and fitness program.

Personal Training

Let us create a customized exercise program where your goals, level of fitness and postural needs are addressed. Our personal training system uses traditional strength training exercises with a functional approach and is based on 3 principles:

  1. Building Functional Strength and Endurance: With progressive functional resistance training you will increase upper body, lower body and core strength. All of this is accomplished through the use of medicine balls, physioballs, balance boards, stability pads, etc.
  2. Perfect Posture and Corrective Exercise: We are always working to improve muscular, functional, static and dynamic balance. Proper form is a major focus. Clients have been able to reduce or eliminate chronic conditions such as lower back and shoulder pain.

Our Trainers

  • Daniel Carnovale

    I’ve been a Personal Trainer for 5 years. Before starting my career as a trainer, I received an Occupational Associates Degree of Personal Training from Heritage Institute and a CPT from the American Council on Exercise (ACE). While developing a training style that focused on improving human foundation, I received a CES from the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM). Corrective Exercise is the core of my training and the focus in improving performance and reducing pain and injuries. I am also a certified Power Plate trainer and a Golf Conditioning Specialist. I take a holistic approach in coaching clients to help them achieve their goals and an overall sense of well-being.

  • Wynter Lightfoot

    I have been in the personal training industry, both as a trainer and in management, for over 10 years. I have a BA in Political Science, but quickly realized I was more suited to help people reach their health and wellness goals. I became certified as a personal trainer by the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) as well as the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) as a Strength and Conditioning Specialist. I also have a diploma through the Shaw Academy in Sports Nutrition. In addition, I am TRX Suspension and Sports Medicine certified, certified in yoga, and pre and post natal fitness. Lastly, I am FMT Blades certified, which is a popular and effective myofascial release technique. My clients can expect to transform not only physically, but also mentally and emotionally.

  • Danielle Urtnowski

    Danielle has been in health and fitness for 25yrs in many facets from owning her own PT business in New Orleans, to running facilities to now educating and inspiring young college students at FGCU.

    The focus of Danielle’s training is with special populations including arthritis, post op, MS and many more.  She also is a holistic health and life coach knowledgeable in over 100 dietary theories to work with all health concerns.

    In addition to personal training, Danielle teaches group classes ranging from Yoga, bootcamp, boss, step, sculpt, cycling and many more.

  • Kristen Waite

    I am Kristen Waite. I am originally from Georgia and attended UGA studying health promotion and behavior. I have always been into a healthy lifestyle and I enjoy passing on my love of fitness to others and helping them to reach their goals. I am an ACE certified personal trainer. I am also certified in TRX Suspension, Spin, Bootcamps, Body Pump and Group Fitness.
